![]() 08/09/2017 at 09:39 |

Literally every time there is a regular-ass storm system or regular rain lasting more than 4 hours.
Feeder/access roads throughout also get shut down over any little bit of rain.

Zero. Many cars did doe. They’ll end up at used car lots soon enough

Somebody should put some lead weights on the ankles of those civil engineers, and give them the extended forecast and a shovel.

Nothing is happening, scienticians working from 725 5th Ave told me so.
To be fair, it just barely beat a record from 1951, so the end isn’t nigh just yet.

They don’t call it the Bayou City for nothing. Remember when 59 was a river during Allison? I used to live right about here. On the left bank.

Not really. We haven’t had serious flooding in a while
![]() 08/09/2017 at 11:00 |

Ugh, yeah...this flooding at the drop of a hat bs has gotten old. Thankfully the area around my house doesn’t seem to be too prone to it, but the specific exit I use off the Hardy to get to work (the beltway 8 exit) sure as hell does! The traffic light there was still dead this morning, so that was fun.

I passed by that on hardy southbound. It was closed that morning but didn’t know the lights were out still today. That little neighborhood NE of the intersections gets super flood often also. People park their cars on hardy to save them when it gets bad
